Description

Vaniqa is a medicine, which prevents chemical exposure in the hair follicles under the skin, and slows down hair growth when it is applied. Vaniqa cream is used to reduce unwanted facial hair in women. However, this cream does not permanently remove facial hair or prevents hair growth.

Important information

Vaniqa Cream is for external use only. Keep using Vaniqa even if you don’t see immediate results. Reduction of facial hair occurs gradually. Improvement may be observed after 4–8 weeks of treatment, however, some patients may take it longer. If there is no improvement after 6 months, treatment should be discontinued. Hair growth can return to pretreatment levels approximately 8 weeks after stopping treatment.

Follow all directions on label and package. Tell each of your health care providers about all your medical conditions, allergies, and all medications you use.

  • You should not use Vaniqa Cream if you have had an allergic reaction to eflornithine in the past.

Vaniqa is not approved for use by anyone under 12 years of age. Apply Vaniqa Cream exactly as directed by your doctor. Follow all directions on the recipe label. Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller quantities or for longer than recommended if you do not want to get Vaniqa side effects.
